The Echo Design Group Celebrates the Beauty of Time with Time at Home
(New York - October 2001) Inspired by the overwhelming success of
Echo's first book, A Home for All Seasons, Echo has created a second
book titled Time at Home. A gorgeous home design book of exquisite
photos and text published by Abrams, Time at Home celebrates time
- the times of day, the precious time we spend at home. This book
is full of great ideas, showing innumerable ways to create comfortable,
welcoming spaces that allow one's personal style and creativity
to shine.
Conceived by husband and wife team Steven and Meg Roberts,
principals of The Echo Design Group, the book offers creative
inspiration for every room, from bedrooms and living rooms to home
offices
and
playrooms. Time at Home opens with the pale light of dawn and
takes the reader through dozens of carefully selected rooms and
outdoor spaces, the places we inhabit and enjoy throughout the day,
showing
how they are enlivened by the effects of light, color, texture,
pattern, and form. Organized by the times of day, this slice-of-life
approach
to home design - captured in 115 glorious color photographs
made specially for this book - places an emphasis on how and when
we
use various rooms and spaces. The inviting interiors illustrate
how to
combine style and function with personal expression in the
choice
of color schemes, fabrics, furnishings, and accessories, and
how to incorporate antiques and collectibles into your d'cor.
