Hydrangea Garden scarf - in clementine

Posted by Jplantz | January 18, 2012 | tags:

I always thought the color yellow looked amazing on people with red hair.  I captured this shot at a meeting last week at the Echo offices of Sharon wearing our Hydrangea Garden scarf in clementine.  She rolled the scarf and then added knots every 2-3 inches, then tied it behind her neck. The result is a great pop of color, much like a statement necklace or interesting collar.  Yellow is the new pink this spring - how will you add yellow to your wardrobe?

Spontaneous color matching

In a show of spontaneous color matching, 2 Echo employees arrived at an internal work party in outfits perfectly in tune. We love the solid tomato color paired with a soft paisley and also with a solid taupe, both with pops of beautiful turquoise.

We thought we’d share a little peak into the world of Echo.  We love a fresh, blank canvas and our offices provide this every day. Our offices are a mix of smooth glass, curving white walls and textured floors.  Neutral tones of stark white, steely silver, earthy taupe and silky charcoal are the backdrop and our products, our designs and employees each add pops of beautiful color.  A quiet neutral space allows us room for creativity and each of us finds our own ways to channel that inner current of inspiration.  Sometimes it’s Chopin or Vivaldi, other times it’s a magazine, the color of an evening sky or the arrangement on a fruit cart.  There are patterns and prints and colors all around us and we’re trying to capture that energy and infuse it into the colors of Echo.  What is your favorite place to work or create? What about it makes it so instrumental to your creativity?

Cubicle Couture - Echo Our Style

Posted by Jplantz | December 03, 2009 | tags:

Welcome to our new feature called Cubicle Couture - Echo Our Style.  Check in and see how and what we're wearing here in the hallways at Echo.  Today the windy morning influenced everybody's outfits and most of us layered up in wraps, sweaters and ponchos.  We found 3 people each wearing a wrap a different way.  Wraps are commonly thought of as something to be worn around your shoulders, like a shawl or a pashmina. This is a great way to wear a wrap in the cold weather months and a lace, sequin or silk wrap also can be a nice touch to a party dress or bridesmaid's dresses.  But these wraps shown here are worn like scarves.  They provide just the right amount of fabric to gather and drape loosely for that casual look.  The first two wraps are also eco-friendly. They are made of bamboo which is naturally anti-bacterial and are amazingly soft!   The last look is our brightly colored ikat.  Ikat is a type of fabric which is created by dying the yarns before they are put onto the loom and woven into fabric.  We had an earlier blog post all about ikats here if you'd like to read more.  So if you're searching for a perfect, long and versatile scarf, you might just find it in the Wraps section!
